Hello! My name is Darren de Vré, I'm from the Netherlands and I enjoy playing games. More importantly however, I also really enjoy creating them. Ever since I was a little kid I wanted to be a professional game developer so after discovering that the Hogeschool van Amsterdam had a bachelor's in game development I instantly set my sights.
I'm currently a fourth year student learning all things game creation, both tech and design wise. I personally enjoy designing and implementing game mechanics the most.
As of now I've been project leader for some of my school projects and I currently am the technical director for a commercial Steam release.

Featured Project
A PoC product of my take on the R&D assignment during a semester at HvA. This is a prototype version of an implementation of volumetric clouds made in Unity. My final clouds are rendered volumetrically and can be generated in real-time using a worley noise compute shader. The clouds are then rendered in an unlit shader using multiple techniques.
